Literature Text

The pale moon hangs heavy over the night
All ringed with the remains of precipitation
Hazy black clouds filtering out her light
As a new world breathes in anticipation

A motherly eye looks down on grass glistening
Not a sound breaks to stir the still air
The stars blink and twinkle for the christening
And a gentle sigh signs that the world is aware
